Delete your account
Applies to the Paper Trader app (com.papertrader.paper_trader)
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time, or ask us to delete it for you. Both routes remove the same things.
Delete it yourself, in the app
- Open Paper Trader.
- Tap the app icon at the top left to open the menu, then tap your name to open Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your sign-in and your cloud record are deleted immediately. If the app asks you to sign in again first, that is Google requiring a recent sign-in before a deletion — sign in and repeat the step.
Ask us to delete it
Email dakshinsolar@gmail.com from the address you signed in with, with the subject Delete my account.
We action it within 7 days and reply when it is done. We may ask you to confirm from the same address — that is the only check we do, and it exists so nobody else can delete your account.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in account with us.
- Your cloud record: the display name and email attached to it, your backup of practice trading state if you enabled backup, and any subscription record we hold.
- Support tickets you raised are anonymised — the text stays as a record of what was reported, with your identity removed.
What is not ours to delete
- Your broker API keys and tokens never reach us. They are stored only on your phone, in Android's hardware-backed secure storage. Uninstalling the app removes them; so does Disconnect on the broker screen.
- Practice trading data on your device — positions, orders, journal, chart drawings, recorded market history. It lives on the phone. Use Reset account inside the app, or uninstall, to remove it.
- Your broker account is with your broker. Deleting here changes nothing there.
- Anonymous crash reports (Google Crashlytics) carry no account identity and cannot be traced back to you after deletion.
Retention
Nothing is kept after deletion except anonymised support-ticket text and anonymous crash diagnostics. There is no grace period and no archive — a deleted account cannot be restored, and neither can the cloud backup that was attached to it.
