Paper Trader

Terms of Use

Last updated 27 August 2026

These terms apply when you use the Paper Trader app or this website. By installing or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

What Paper Trader is

Paper Trader is a trading simulator. Every order in it is filled with virtual money against real market prices. The app holds no money, has no connection to any exchange order gateway, and cannot place a real trade even if you ask it to.

We are not a broker, not a portfolio manager, not an investment adviser and not a research analyst, and we are not registered with SEBI as any of those.

It is free

The app is free to use. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase and no payment path in it at all. If that ever changes, the change will be announced in the app before it takes effect and will never apply retrospectively to something you have already done.

Your account

Signing in with Google is optional and is needed only to link a broker for live prices; practice mode works fully without an account. You are responsible for the Google account you sign in with. You can delete your account and its cloud backup at any time from the Account screen, or at papertraders.in/delete-account.

Connecting your broker

The app can display live market data by connecting to your own broker account using an access token you generate. Three things follow from that, and they matter:

AI features

Some features can turn a sentence into a strategy, or comment on a position, using an AI model. Where these need a key, it is your own key, entered by you. AI output is generated text. It is frequently wrong, it is not reviewed by a human, and it is not advice. Treat it as a starting point for your own thinking and nothing more.

Nothing here is investment advice

Nothing in the app, on this website, in any AI output, in any lesson, alert, backtest, statistic or screen is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. We do not know your finances or your goals, and we are not permitted to advise you on them.

Derivatives carry a real risk of loss. Most retail traders lose money trading them. Simulated results do not predict real results — a simulator cannot reproduce slippage, queue position, partial fills, rejections, or how you will behave when the money is real.

Any decision you make with real money is yours alone.

Using the app properly

Please do not:

Using this website

This section is about papertraders.in itself, separately from the app.

Availability

The app is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, that prices will always arrive, or that it will be free of defects. Market data can be delayed, wrong or missing for reasons at your broker or the exchange that we neither cause nor control.

Features may change or be removed. Some have been removed already, and more will be, when keeping them would make the app worse.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app — including losses from a decision you made after reading anything it displayed. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending it

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it, and remove your cloud data with "Delete account". We may suspend access for anyone using the app in the ways listed under "Using the app properly".

Changes

Material changes to these terms will be published on this page with a new "last updated" date.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Telangana, India shall have jurisdiction.
